With this information it becomes easy to design the marketing strategy with consumer trends in mind, deliver your message through the relevant channels of communication, reach out to the highest number of target customers and eventually generate revenue for the organisation. In my career life therefore I plan to utilise this vital knowledge and inform organisational marketing strategy so that the customers’ behaviour is the main area of focus.Another thing I have learnt from this course and which I greatly appreciate is how important to ensure your brand is well marketed. A good brand serves the organisations in many beneficial ways. Firstly it facilitates market penetration by influencing consumer perceptions; a brand for instance can define or break in the fashion industry as brands aid in the organisation of inventory and records of accounting. Furthermore, consumers are concerned about the brands they purchase as particular brands define personalities. It is therefore important to create a honest brand equity as this is influential in professional growth and development. In order to attract consumer loyalty and community support for instance, marketers must understand demographics and take advantage of this knowledge to penetrate the market. Knowledge of the consumers’ emotional, psychological and rational determinants of purchasing trends and reinforcing just those choices will enable an organisation reach all the customer touch points. This is also important for personal professional growth; understanding what employers are looking for and presenting yourself as just the solution to their problem is crucial.Through the study of segmentation and consumer behaviours, my eyes have been opened to the core of marketing. I am able to now appreciate why businesses sometimes have in certain manners and this will greatly influence my personal and professional behaviour going forward. It is because of a need that a consumer is forced to look around for information about certain products and services, analyse the available alternatives and eventually make the important decision of purchasing. An important element of marketing for any organisation desiring to dominate a certain market is the post purchase analysis.
