In class, sociology lectures addressed in the various reasons that perpetuate crime and deviance. Among the most common causes are social conflict and also economic rivalry. The work covered in class thus enables one to understand as to why some cases of deviance progress to be advanced in nature while some remain to be minor as individuals are engineered differently and also have different drives in matters relating to life. The efforts by social conflict theorists to explain deviance within the social context has been clearly illustrated to make sense in the article (Pfuhl and Henry, 1993). Their efforts to make connections amongst the social classes as well as explaining social control has been well illustrated with example cases in the article. There is a tendency amongst some employees to think that who believe that wealth means superiority to feel intimidated by their paycheck and their feeling of being inferior leads them being deviant(Pfuhl and Henry, 1993). The increase in deviance in workplaces in connection with the issue has been linked well to this approach, and such acts well addressed. The article also covers how the economic systems that increase personal disadvantages also cause a gradual rise in propensity for deviance.
