Growth in technology is currently one of the most important spheres of development in the history of humankind development. To address this need, the British Curriculum has integrated various subjects in the curriculum. The subjects that address the technological sphere of human development comprise design and technology. (Department of Education, 1990)The curriculum has been designed to achieve some very needs of an education program. It is designed to meet some basic aims that ensure that all the spheres of human development are addressed. It is designed to produce successful learners through an enabling learning environment. This is achieved through enjoying learning which creates interest in learning. To ensure that students enjoy what they learn, the content of the curriculum must be interesting through stimulating pupil’s thinking process and posing challenges that can be practically solved through logical thinking. It ends up like solving a puzzle word through logical thinking. Design and technology is designed to stimulate students thinking process and arousing the same interest in solving puzzles through necessary technology. (Barak and Doppelt, 1998)Any education system also aims at producing confident individuals who can achieve what they want with a confident the leads to a fulfilled life. This is only achieved by ensuring that student pursue what is their interest in life. It helps student discover their hobbies and interest early in life and pursue them as they grow up. Unfortunately if had been realized many students have interest in technology but which is not fulfilled because it is seen as a challenging area. Design and technology subjects are designed in order to help student discover their interest in technology world and pursue them accordingly as they grow up. This is ensured through introducing the student to the technology world in a simple way by presenting theories and practical in a simple way that pupils can understand. This helps the students to understand the subjects earlier in life.Another aim of design and technology students is to ensure that it produces students who grow up to become responsible citizens making a contribution to the society.
