Urban planning theory has faced criticism from academics and practitioners as being confused and impractical. Planning functions have played a crucial role in response to the ever changing society needs and requirements.Many planning theories had neglected the interest of environmental conservation. They had ignored the public interest and produced unsatisfying results. They have neglected the importance of diversity and environment conservation. My personal theory will take into consideration the fundamental factors of planning. The theory of poly rationality is my preferred theory while planning. The theory advocates the acceptance of other people’s opinions and rationales rather than depending on individuality. It involves the capacity to see the value of different perceptions regarding an issue. It also expects a certain level of knowledge in planning theory and practice.The theory accommodates diversity of ideas on various subjects and proposals. This theory encourages planners to make use of the theoretical richness of planning. The planner should encourage and support the diversity of the professional practices. The planner should exhibit different ideas and make use of different suggestions. The planner should act in the interest of both the developer and the community activist. The planner in this theory should flow from one reasoning to another without confusion. The theory promotes democracy that is tolerant towards different lifestyles and mentalities. The theory suggests that to become an expert in planning, the planner needs to understand the central feature and how things connect in a comprehensive way. The theory states that to achieve proficiency, the planner cannot connect rigidly to a certain point of view. The theory involves theory and practice making planning easier.The theory supports the conflict of ideas between planners. The conflict is perceived as gathering different ideas. The theory contributes to better planning practices and theories. The theory displays planning as a discipline in which different opinions maintain a competitive interaction. The theory allows a planner to choose the most appropriate theory to use in regard to a particular situation at hand. The planner has the freedom to incorporate the various planning theories in a single plan. The theory has achieved coordination of other theories successfully. The theory accommodates diversity of
