Diversity can improve the corporate culture of an enterprise. Firms that have good diversity benefit from the ideas of its workers because people of different backgrounds have gone through different life experiences. These experiences are used in brainstorming sessions to generate solutions to problems. A company that has used diversity well to improve the performance of its business units is Starbucks Café. “As partners, we embrace diversity to create a place where each of us can be ourselves”. Diversity can help companies create an environment that attracts a diverse group of customers.“Change management is a systematic approach to dealing with change, from the perspective of an organization and on the individual level” (Searchcio-midmarket, 2011). Managers can use change management techniques to alter the behavior of the employees. Change management is used to alter the relationship between the company and its customers or suppliers. Another important organization behavior concept is business ethics. Ethics deals with the decision between right and wrong. For example, in the 1990s Nike Corporation was involved in the use of sweatshops to manufacture its good. The use of sweatshops was an unethical action that once it was revealed hurt the company because it damaged its corporate image.
