Unfortunately, at this time our group has only identified one Social Study content. This entails identifying community workers with their jobs. I was not present for this, so I do not have any information on this event.In this category, when in the kitchen area, Lucy tells a fellow student that she is the mommy, and she is her baby. She is wearing an apron and pretends to use the small pink toy telephone. Picking up the receiver, she says, “Hello daddy!” Lucy also completes the content standards when in the Arts and Crafts area. She selects from various types of art, such as paint, glue, and crayons to complete a collage.Located under Fine motor development, Lucy completes other content standards. While in the Arts and crafts area, Lucy being taught by Mrs. Knouse how to use scissors. Later, she took the scissors and made small cuts into the sheet of paper she was using to work. She also exhibited manual eye coordination when handling glue to stick things in Arts and Crafts. She would take the cap off the glue stick and make the glue go all the way up, then press the glue part of the glue stick down to make it go back into the glue stick container. Lucy participated in the eye-hand coordination activities when Martha would point to a farm animal on the “What letter begins with” poster, and Lucy would identify the animal. She would also place a magnetic animal on the poster that matched the scenery of the barn to the correct animals that would live on the barn. For example, she placed chicken magnet on a picture of hay. Lucy also poured her drinking water to the blue line of her cup at snack time.For language and Literacy, Lucy made rhyming sounds in the snack area as previously stated, “Food is yummy in my tummy.” Lucy also manipulated and identified individual sounds when she was at the poster with Martha. Martha asked, “What rhymes with duck?” Lucy responded, “Truck.” Lucy always identified the sounds that farm animals make, like the quacking of a duck. It is worth noting that Lucy answered Ms. Martha’s questions with correct answers since she often understood what she was being asked. Lucy held a book about a family of bears the right side facing upwards. Additionally, she identified the story Ms. Martha read for her. Lucy also met the use of words, phrases and sentences to express feelings, ideas, needs and wants. For example, Lucy asked Dr. Sciaraffa for help
