Both cultures appreciate good work and advocate for good work to be rewarded. The nature of reward differs. The Christian culture is of the opinion that if at all one acquires a reward or gift due to his efforts then one should accept the gift. The nature of gift may differ but they are to receive the reward and appreciate. The Muslim culture is different in that it states that the salary or wages are the only gifts a person should accept and that if he accepts anything apart from this then it is considered illegal (‘harram’). The argument is that this will be considered as a bribe hence unethical. According to, (2013), in this event a public administrator should be flexible in the sense that each culture is integrated into the system. The public code of conduct should be guidance to making informed decisions. Cultural ethics are core and each organization uses this to develop their own code of ethics (Schultz, 2010). Bribe and gifts should be differentiated in that one should determine what he is being offered.The focus of this assignment will; be between the Muslims and Christians of northern Africa. There exist differences in cultures which bring about ethical normal differences and at the same time explain the differences in values. The Muslims in northern Africa form the majority of the population. This renders the Christians to be marginalized. In constituting there legislative laws the sharia laws are used as reference. The aspect denies the minority the chances to air their views and is forced to live by the laws of the land even though they are different from what religion teaches them.Global governance structure advocate for equality and inclusiveness. Governments legislates laws that are accepted across board (Twiss, 2011). In this situation a public administrator should considered the views of the minority as they are protected by the united nation under the universal declaration of human rights. One should not be forced to adopt foreign culture but rather should be given freedom to choice. As a public administrator ought to be democratic hence should protect rights and carry a non cultural approach while dealing with aspects concerning human rights. Non governmental organizations and human rights activist work together with public administrator in ensuring each individual’s right is protected.
