But when they are connected to the computer world they possess super abilities where they can move at very high speeds. This displays both hyper-reality and unreality. The characteristic of hypermodernism which is the power of technology is expressed in this movie as the computer world helps change the real world. Another example of a movie where hyper modernism is used is in the film Inception. Characters are induced into a dream world which is like a reality. The use of science as characterized by hyper modernism is the core of this movie (Johnson 78). This is because the film depicts a time when science has discovered a way in which one person can enter another person’s dream and be part of it. As in the matrix film, both unreality and hyperreality are displayed in the movie since the film depicts human abilities that are far greater than normal ones and the existence of a world that in reality does not exist.
