Development and Implementation of a Cultural Mindset. Globalisation is a phenomenon that has enabled the whole world to become like a village. Companies now can employ people, goods, and services from any part of the globe. How companies manage this new change eventually defines their performance (Downey et.al, 2015). Some companies have become very successful in spotting global opportunities while others have either mismanaged these opportunities or missed them entirely. The reason for the different results could be in the mindset of the company. The cultural mindset has become a key training topic for executives in the recent past. Cultural mindset can be said to refer to how companies see the world and how this has affected their operations. Many companies now operate on a global scale in one way or the other.

Being able to treat the entire world as one single entity can prove challenging to any executive. Cultural mindset defines how the management is able to encourage and execute cultural diversity while at the same time ensuring that it is strategically positioned for success.
Apart from understanding and applying a positive cultural mindset, it is also important to factor in the experience of an individual executive which will affect the outcome (Downey et.al, 2015). This goes ahead to mean if a company had a great diversity in the past, it is likely to be able to deal with diversity better in the future.
IBM is a hardware company in the 70`s failed to tap into the talent of five German engineers. The engineers later came up with a software company, now known as SAP which is the fourth largest software company in the world. IBM was focused on the hardware business and did not see the opportunity in the software industry. The five German engineers on the other side saw the potential of the software industry and formed their own company.
The society is becoming more culturally diverse and organizations have understood the importance of integrating the different cultures together so that every individual is heard. Development and Implementation of a Cultural Mindset.
