However, the woman was rescued by the team and received a minor injury. One amongst three casualties is reported for leg injury due to wet grounds (LAMRT, 2012).Navigational errors are frequent in nature due to which people lost their way back to camp or get delayed to return. An incident number 79 was reported to have lost their way due to navigational error at the Gibson Knott. As it was dark they were lost and standing there waiting for light to strike. They were located by the rescue team through tracking their signals which helped in rescuing the group in the same night (LAMRT, 2012).The picture below represents members of Langdale Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team saving a life of a woman that twisted her ankle due to wet grounds of Lake District. The woman is taken into a stretcher for treatment in a hospital.The above picture shows incident map which highlights the number of incidents taken place at mountainous regions of Lake District, which is Britain’s busiest mountain area. The orange spots shoes incident happened in a particular area.The numbers of incidents in the mountainous regions have been improved in past 2 years due to awareness of people for precautionary measures outlined by Langdale Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team. The highest numbers of incidents have been reported in 2010 in which 162 casualties were accounted. The reasons for highest number of incidents were due to freezing temperature in Britain which was recorded as highest in many years. The lowest numbers of incidents were reported in the year 2003 and 2005 in which 84 incidents were recorded in the region. The numbers of incidents have been declining since the freezing point hit Britain which has been a good sign for the nation (LAMRT, 2012).Langdale Ambleside Mountain Rescue recommends that people must do their research for weather forecast from reliable sources before they set off to climb mountains. The reason is because many of the incidents recorded have been due to bad weather as people are not adapted to strong freezing point temperature and cold winds. The chances of survival become minimal in bad weather and are avoided by top climbers for various reasons. The extreme wind reduces the temperature of the body more than the cold weather itself (LAMRT, 2012).The people should have their compass while climbing mountains because people easily get lost in vast
