Moreover, in developing and administering drugs to animals, it provides the basic knowledge on how the drugs interact with the cells.Biology provides the necessary knowledge on the growth and development of animals. Thus, the knowledge on the animal development is drawn from here. With the knowledge as a veterinary doctor, one can understand fully the developmental milestones of the animals and note the abnormalities (Roeder & Radtke, 2009). Study on the DNA synthesis and development is important in predetermining and boosting the fertility and healthy growth of the animals. Most importantly is the study of microbiology. It involves the study of the microbes that are responsible for the development of diseases in animals. In the field, various microorganisms that cause disease are studied in detailed involving their growth and development. A study on the effect of substances on the growth of microbes is studied too. Therefore, with the necessary knowledge on the microbes, one can devise the methods of eliminating these microbes. At the same time provide with prevention modalities against the growth of this disease-causing micro-organism (Simpson & Papich, 2003).Scientific knowledge on the animal enables one to note the abnormal physiology. With the knowledge on what is happening one can be able to figure out the causative agent and the way in which the problem can be reversed. Thus, it serves as a crucial part of a veterinary doctor as he or she works towards having the healthy animals with normal growth under a conducive environment. The vast knowledge gained in the field will be important in understanding the concepts involved in veterinary medicine at large.Biology as a subject has developed considerably over the past few year. The modern technology has been in cooperated in the study (Lamont, 2008), therefore providing with most contemporary equipment and machines used in the study. The subject has sub-disciplines that study different parts of the body in details. The essence is to explore as much as a possible, each entity of the body as much as possible. As a pre-veterinary subject, the various dealings in biology make it easier for one to perfect the skill and comprehend the modalities of animal’s health. For instance, ethology is a branch of biology that deals with the study of the animal’s behavior. It is useful in predetermining the animal’s behavior and
